About Attuned Therapy
Attuned Therapy is a Winnipeg-based counselling practice offering online therapy to individuals seeking support with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, and more.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. At Attuned Therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel welcomed, respected, and genuinely heard. Therapy is not about being judged or “fixed,” but about being understood and supported in a way that honours your lived experience. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and our work together is collaborative, grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect.
My approach is person-centered and attachment-informed, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety and the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is tailored to each person’s needs, values, and goals, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when helpful.
I am also committed to providing counselling that is socially aware and culturally responsive. I recognize that culture, identity, systemic oppression, and lived context shape our experiences of mental health and access to care. Attuned Therapy strives to be an inclusive and affirming space where all parts of your story are respected and welcomed.

The name Attuned Therapy reflects the heart of this work. To be attuned means to be emotionally present, responsive, and deeply engaged. In therapy, attunement helps create the safety and trust needed for meaningful exploration and growth. My intention is to be attuned to your experiences while supporting you in becoming more attuned to yourself — your emotions, needs, and inner signals — fostering deeper self-understanding and self-compassion.
Meet Tricia
Hi, I’m Tricia (she/her), the counsellor behind Attuned Therapy.
My path to counselling began in a different field. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba, I spent many years building a successful career in business. Over time, I felt increasingly drawn toward work that allowed me to support people more directly, which led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, graduating with honours.
Today, I work with individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, and neurodiversity. I also have experience supporting people with disabilities and individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I strive to create a space where every client feels safe, respected, and understood. My work is grounded in a person-centred philosophy, meaning I believe healing and growth happen within a compassionate, trusting therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly and at your own pace. Alongside this relational foundation, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support deeper understanding, resilience, and meaningful change.
Outside of my practice, I’m a wife, mother, animal lover, and an active volunteer in my community. These roles reflect values that guide my work as a therapist: care, connection, compassion, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
